At Artlin Consulting, we’re not only committed to our clients we’re deeply committed to our community. Below are some of the community service activities that we, our families, partners and clients participate in every year and over the past months:

Operation Jump Start
Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) ‘Stuff the Bus’ Event
Artlin Consultants participated in the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) ‘Stuff the Bus’ event in September by staffing a food drive at a local grocery store. AFAC collects and distributes groceries to help feed neighbors. Thanks to volunteer participation and the generous donations of Arlingtonians, AFAC was able to ‘stuff the bus’ with more than 2,500 pounds of beans, tomatoes, tuna, cereal and other much-needed items for the 2,200 client families that visit them each week.
Apple Gleaning at Marker Miller Farms
Artlin joined the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) at Marker Miller Farm in Winchester, VA to glean apples leftover from this season’s harvest. In addition to several other volunteer groups gleaning at Marker Miller, Arltin helped AFAC harvest 2,660 pounds of apples! These apples will be included in the groceries and student lunches delivered to the average of 2,200 client families that AFAC serves each week.
Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) Visit
In July, a team from Artlin made a trip out to Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) in Aldie, Virginia to help beautify the premises. Artlin took a tour of the facility which houses 100′s of dogs and cats. The team helped with mulching, weeding and gardening. FOHA is a wonderful, no-kill shelter that focuses on the rescue and placement of homeless dogs and cats in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area. They rely on the support of volunteers and donations from the public to continue their rescue efforts.
Potomac Watershed Cleanup
In April, Artlin Consultants participated in the 27th Annual Potomac Watershed Clean Up, which was hosted by Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment (ACE) and the National Park Service. On a beautiful Saturday morning, our consultants enjoyed being part of a group of over 75 volunteers that helped to collect 32 bags of trash and 25 bags of recyclables from along the banks of the river.
Team Work Events
Artlin engages not only in community service, but in building bonds and nurturing the Artlin community as well. Autumn brings the picturesque surroundings of fall colors to set the scene of Artlin employees and their families reaching for the skies and reaping fruit: the joys of apple picking! Visiting Stribling Orchard this year the Artlin community bonded searching for the best apples. After collecting the bounty of the orchard, the Artlin family picnicked on a hill surveying the beauty of nature around. Laughs and smiles were shared by all.
Yearly Community Service Events
Community Service is at the center of our culture. Serving others is a common bond all our consultants share. We conduct monthly service events that incorporate our Artlin consultants, their families, our company partners and clients. Although we support many causes, there are three special events that we participate in each year -The Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure, Wreaths Across America, and Operation Covert Santa. The Artlin “RAT PACK” participates as a team to walk and raise donations for Susan G. Komen foundations mission to reach underserved people in areas where breast cancer death rates are highest. Artlin consultants also participate in the annual December Wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery to pay tribute to troops that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Lastly, Artlin works together on Operation Covert Santa’s annual Christmas gift drive, which provides severely wounded soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with Christmas gifts.
